Ava Floyd is currently a third year Clinical Psychology PsyD Candidate at William James College with a concentration in Children & Families of Adversity and Resilience. Her interests include examining achievement gaps in children from low-income households and utilizing mindfulness therapy to offset mental health difficulties. Her careers goals include working with immigrant families who believe their children are not advocated for in school settings and need mental health services. Her hobbies include chasing after her one-year old identical twins and traveling. Ava brings to the MFC Board of Directors an extensive background working with youth and families to access mental health services and her research on the systemic barriers that impact health and achievement for children.
